Daniel Pakkala, PWA, AAMS®
Wealth Manager
Biography
Before joining the Bespoke team, Daniel was the Director of an M&A advisory and investment banking firm in Atlanta, where he and his team were responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in acquisitions of lower-middle market, privately-held businesses. Daniel helped owners understand their exit readiness, valuation expectations, equity structuring, and more—in addition to leading the sale of the business and helping the owner find the right acquirer. Daniel also collaborated with private equity firms and family offices by originating proprietary platform acquisition opportunities and strategic add-ons. From software to old economy manufacturing, Daniel has advised owners across a wide array of industries.
A distinguished Honors Scholars graduate, Daniel graduated cum laude with a BBA in finance and a minor in applied statistics and data analysis from Kennesaw State University. There, Daniel served as Managing Director for the university’s Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF). He and his team lead the fund to its largest growth since its inception, and later represented KSU at the Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Education (G.A.M.E) forum, where their fund competed against 1,200 students from 141 colleges representing 40 countries. Daniel and his team took first place at the G.A.M.E. forum, which represents the largest gathering of student-managed investment funds in the world.
Originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Daniel grew up in Cumming, Georgia. His parents immigrated from Colombia and Finland. During his childhood, Daniel’s dad found success opening used car dealerships in North Carolina, where Daniel worked every season during his school breaks. The experience would later prove invaluable, as it taught him the meaning of hard work, an admiration for entrepreneurs, and a deep awareness of the determination and courage it takes for a business owner to achieve success.
Daniel believes that his distinct background and expertise are a tailor-made fit for the business owners Bespoke serves. His main role on the team is to help business owners put in place the proper personal and business planning to maximize the value they get from the sale of the business they worked so hard to build. Daniel works with business owners many years ahead of the sale, to help them diversify their net worth and build wealth independent of their most valuable and highly illiquid asset.
Today, Daniel lives in Woodstock with his wife Talia, their son, Oliver, and their Karelian Bear Dog, Nalle. Their favorite activities include traveling, exploring restaurants around the city, mountain runs in their cars, and football. Daniel is fluent in Spanish.
