Biography
Max is a Managing Director at Bespoke Capital Advisors of Raymond James. He specializes in creating exit plans for clients transitioning their businesses, evaluating advanced estate planning options, and explaining advanced charitable strategies. From 2018 to 2024, Max and his team have consulted on over 90 transactions, helping business owners across the country achieve financial independence. The Total Enterprise Value (TEV) of these transactions ranged from $20M to $700M, with an average deal size of $45M. Most of these transactions involved family-owned businesses with majority equity ownership. Max's key roles include building the Deal Team and facilitating Advanced Estate Planning ahead of major liquidity events.
Max graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business while also being the captain of the wrestling team. After several marketing positions, he acquired his MBA in finance and entrepreneurship from the University Of Oklahoma’s Price School of Business. Two accreditations set Max apart: the Certified Financial Planner™ certification and The Certified Private Wealth Advisor®. The CPWA® is widely considered the gold standard for wealth advisors working with Ultra High Net Worth families.
Max has been heavily involved in small groups and youth ministry at Buckhead Church, is a founding member of Wrestlers In Business (a local 501c3), served as a volunteer coach for eight years (primarily at The Lovett School), and currently serves as a board member for Enduring Hearts. He lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife Katherine, son Maverick, daughter Monroe, and their dog Sooner.
